The Lagos State Ministry of Education has released the Public and Private [Primary and Secondary Schools] Revised / Adjusted / Official 1st, 2nd and 3rd Term Dates/Academic Calendar for 2018/2019 Academic Session.

According to the Proposed School Term Dates:
  • 1st Term Resumes on 10th September, 2018.
  • 2nd Term Resumes on 7th January, 2019.
  • 3rd Term Resumes on 29th April, 2019.

1ST TERM

  • Resumption: Monday 10th September, 2018
  • First Half: 10th September - 31st October, 2018
  • Literacy: 21st September, 2018
  • World Teachers Day: 5th October, 2018 (Private Schools to ensure participation)
  • World Girl Child Day: 11th October, 2018
  • Open Day (Secondary): 31st October, 2018
  • Mid-Term Break: 1st November - 2nd November, 2018
  • Open Day (Primary): 8th November, 2018
  • Second Half: 5th November - 14th December, 2018
  • World Physically Challenged Day: 3rd November, 2018
  • Vacation: 17th December - 4th January, 2019.
Total Working Days: 64 Days

Latest Update: All Public and Private Schools in Lagos are hereby reminded that they are to proceed on the 2nd Mid-Term Break on Friday, 8th of March, 2019 and resume studies on Monday, 11th of March, 2019.

  1. Thanks for the update. But please help look into the issue of making SS2 who have not been writing their promotion exams with other students in July. Making them do so in October when others have started the new academic work hence starting SS3 work in November gives them a lot of set back.
