JAMB Suspends 22 CBT Centers for Extortion During 2019 UTME Registration

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB Has Suspended Twenty Two [22] Computer Based Test, CBT Centers Over Engagement in Illegal Activities Such as Extortion of Candidates, Unauthorized Use of Registration Sim-cards During 2019/2020 UTME Registration Exercise.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, has suspended a total number of twenty two [22] accredited CBT Registration Centres starting from the opening and closure of the sales of the 2019/2020 UTME/DE Registration.

The Board disclosed that the the sanction of the  22 CBT centres is as a result of engagement in illegal activities.

Reasons for the Suspension of the various CBT centres are for engaging in unauthorized use of registration SIM in a manner it claimed is inimical to candidates’ interest; as well as charging candidates higher than the authorized fee and for engaging in mobile registration.

JAMB also added that as the 2019 UTME approaches centers found wanting before, during and after examination will be suspended.
